Chalcedony is compact silica most often found in sedimentary and volcanic environments. Formation occurs over a long period of time, as minerals are slowly deposited into a pocket of another type of rock, such as granite.
Prong setting uses four metal projections called prongs in the placement of each cz. This type of setting allows light to strike the cz from more angles, increasing its brilliance.
Oxidation is a surface treatment applied to the silver which gives the jewellery its retro quality.
